While obtaining her BA in English / Creative Writing at Denison University, Bickley fueled her interest in fashion and interiors, partaking in a throng of internships, including stints at Joseph Abboud, Papucci Imports, and Hour Detroit Magazine. Post graduation, Bickley moved to Chicago to work for the luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. After two successful years on the business side, she followed her heart to London, where she obtained her MA in Fashion Journalism at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design. During her time in the UK, she interned at Alexander McQueen, Vogue.co.uk, and Time Europe, respectively.
In 2004, Bickley returned to Detroit, where she launched Metro Detroit Bride magazine. In her three years at Hour Media she worked exclusively on Metro Detroit Bride and Detroit Home, both as Style Editor and as Senior Style Editor, and also on Somerset Collection Magazine and the Mall at Millenia Magazine as Fashion Editor.
Today, Bickley writes and styles for a variety of publications. She has been published in Elle Décor, Redbook, Time Europe, Chicago Magazine, Chicago Home, Midwest Home Chicago, Time Out Chicago, HOUR Detroit, Metro Detroit Bride, Detroit Home, LUXE Magazine, Pinkmemo.com, Somerset Collection, M Magazine, and Birmingham Magazine.
